Kinda bummed. My best friend ate his pistol a couple of weeks ago. Just another cop that committed suicide… nothing to see here, move along. But he was separated from his kids for almost 5 years. Nobody will comment on his family “arrangements” that the bitch he married forced on him. She deserves a very special place in hell for what she did.
In other news… I got a surgeon scalpel in .338 Lapua with a Nightshade 16x scope.. I’m happy as a clam at high tide. Hello Wimbleton!

Further you incorrectly parsed “perverse form of conceit”
by seperating the words of the phrase. It’s the conceit itself that is perverse. The conceit is that being a Nice Guy should be/ is good when so clearly it isn’t. Clinging to that notion is perverse.
You have taken a narrow understanding of the other terms I used.
Vanity is not just about having the right clothes and your hat strategically dipped below one eye. In this case it’s wanting to seen as a selfless giver. And most of wanting to see that selfless giver in the mirror every morning.
